We are pleased to present a newly arrived Porsche 911E Coupe.
This vehicle was imported by our company from California, USA, in 2011. It features a long wheelbase and, although it has a 2.0L engine, it utilizes mechanical fuel injection. It is a model known as the “B Series,” which has undergone modifications to various body parts and the interior.Since its arrival in
Japan, it has undergone various services—including the replacement of exterior parts such as headlights and marker lights, engine tuning and maintenance, and road tests—and has been kept in excellent running condition for the past 15 years.
The engine is equipped with the Bosch mechanical fuel injection system adopted starting with this 1969 model year, with a displacement of 2.0L and 140 horsepower, and remains in excellent condition even today.
While the numbers alone might make it seem underpowered, it delivers more than enough power for the car’s weight and offers that natural power delivery characteristic of engines built before strict emissions regulations took effect; it’s an engine that revs more sharply than you might expect.
Once you start driving, it delivers surprisingly strong punch even at low speeds, and once it exceeds 3,500 RPM, it produces the wonderful intake and exhaust sounds characteristic of air-cooled engines—a power unit that lets you fully enjoy the charm of a narrow-body 911.
The transmission, of course, is the 901/07-type 5-speed with Porsche Synchro; it has a precise feel and allows for smooth, satisfying shifts
. As you can see, the interior is in impeccable condition. The black synthetic leather shows minimal wear and is still perfectly suitable for daily driving as is.It is also equipped with the optional leather-wrapped steering wheel and three-point seat belts. The bright, solid body color is the original “Sand Beige.” This charming shade retains a strong sense of the 1960s atmosphere and further accentuates the car’s appeal.
The exterior components, including the front hood and door panels, have never been replaced and are original. Although it appears to have been repainted once, the body is in excellent condition. There is no floor wear or corrosion around the battery base—issues commonly seen in narrow-body 911s—and, of course, no signs of major damage.The gaps between the doors and the front and rear hoods are natural, creating a favorable overall impression. , the body retains its rigidity, maintaining responsive and nimble handling, and the brake feel and effectiveness are both excellent.From city driving to the highway, it handles modern roads stress-free and is perfectly suitable for everyday use. While it
certainly falls short of the 911S in peak power, this 911E surpasses it in low-end torque, so its acceleration up to 160 km/h actually outperforms the 911S.
Starting with the 1969 B-Series—which marked the end of the narrow-body Porsche 2L era—the wheelbase was changed, and slight fender flares were added to accommodate the new tire sizes.and the interior—including the gauges and air conditioning—underwent numerous changes, evolving into an even more user-friendly Porsche. However, it still retains a strong sense of the early models’ character, such as the sharp feel of the 2L engine from its debut and the mechanical noises and exhaust sounds reminiscent of a racing engine.
With so few well-preserved narrow-body 911 Coupes remaining, this is a car you definitely won’t want to miss.
